County and district working
Find out about how we work with the five districts in Oxfordshire.
District partnerships
In addition to the Oxfordshire Partnership there are local strategic partnerships (LSPs) in each of the five district council areas in Oxfordshire. We work very closely together as many of the issues we face are the same.
Each district LSP is represented on the Oxfordshire Partnership board, usually by the district LSP chairperson.
To find out more about the partnership in your area visit their website via the link below.
Partnership officers from across the county come together regularly through the Oxfordshire LSP Officers Group to discuss issues of common concern.
District and parish council involvement
District and parish councils are also key partners in the Oxfordshire Partnership. All five district councils are members of the Partnership Board. The parishes/ area committees in each district are represented on the board by representatives nominated by the Oxfordshire Association of Local Councils.
Districts are involved in the thematic partnerships of the Oxfordshire Partnership, particularly in areas where there are Local Area Agreement targets. District councils are for example leading the delivery of projects to increase the number of affordable homes and improve the overall cleanliness of Oxfordshire.
