Oxfordshire Children and Young People's Trust
Section 10 of the Children's Act 2004 establishes the requirements for Children's Trusts as a partnership that has responsibilities to effect the changes required to improved outcomes for children and young people.
The Children and Young People's Trust brings together young people, senior managers, parents and politicians from across the public sector in Oxfordshire. It is a partnership that has overall responsibility for planning and delivery of services for children and young people.
Membership
Membership of the Children and Young People's Trust extends to several organisations; including District Council's, Oxfordshire PCT, Thames Valley Police, Voluntary Sector, Schools, GP's and the Learning and Skills Council. It also has parent/ carer and young person representation. Councillor Louise Chapman is responsible for chairing the Trust Meetings. Roles and responsibilities
The overall responsibility of the Trust is to oversee the identification, planning and delivery of programmes that will address major service changes to effect improvement in outcomes for children and young people.

Meetings
The Oxfordshire Children and Young People's Trust meets six times a year. The next and last meeting of 2008 will be held on 14 November 2008 at 1pm, in meeting room 2, County Hall.
