Public Service Board

The Public Service Board is currently under review. Future meeting dates are provisional.

The Public Service Board (PSB) comprises the key public sector organisations in Oxfordshire and includes representatives from the voluntary and community sector, Government Office for the South East (GOSE) and the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA). It is responsible for Oxfordshire's Local Area Agreement (LAA) on behalf of the Oxfordshire Partnership.

The board is currently chaired by Councillor David Robertson, Deputy Leader of Oxfordshire County Council.

Roles and responsibilities

The purpose of the board is to agree deliverable outcomes that support the key strategic priorities of the Oxfordshire Partnership in the Sustainable Community Strategy.

It will look for opportunities to pool resources more effectively to meet these objectives and seek to negotiate greater freedom and flexibility for the area from central government.

Meetings

The PSB meets quarterly to receive performance monitoring information and discuss strategic and programme issues.

PSB meetings are open to the public, except for certain closed items. Papers are published in advance and are available on this website and by public deposit in the same way as council meetings.
