Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Partnership

The Oxfordshire Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Partnership (SPIP) is a forum for liaison on spatial planning, economic development, housing, transport, and infrastructure issues.

SPIP operates by member consensus, to advise on matters of collective interest; to seek agreement on local priorities and influence relevant local, regional and national bodies.

Membership of full SPIP

SPIP core membership comprises Leaders or Cabinet/ Executive Members from each of the local authorities and the following organisations:

The role of Chair rotates on an annual basis and is currently held by Oxfordshire County Council.

SPIP Executive

SPIP is supported by an executive of senior officers from the five member local authorities, the HCA and other partners.

Local Investment Plan

This Local Investment Plan (LIP) has been prepared by the Oxfordshire Spatial Planning and Infrastructure Partnership and sets out a shared vision and priorities for delivering housing growth, economic development, regeneration, and infrastructure; in other words 'sustainable place making'. This LIP outlines and integrates the plans of Cherwell, Oxford, South Oxfordshire, Vale of White Horse and West Oxfordshire District Councils, Oxfordshire County Council, the Highways Agency, Network Rail, the Environment Agency and the Oxfordshire Primary Care Trust to deliver housing and economic growth and associated strategic infrastructure to 2030.
